Lingua Meeting is a Virtual Spanish School whose mission is to provide the best Spanish online course. We are using a Web-based application that allows us to create live classes with features like video, audio, white-board, share documents, web content…It’s the closest thing to a traditional class and some argue that even better.
2. How does it work?
You need to contact us first. We will discuss your needs and goals and find the best program for you, one to one or semi-private. You will go back to the Lingua Meeting website and select the right course for you and proceed with the payment. After we receive the payment, the student will find an invitation to enter the Virtual class thought his/her email plus an access code for Wiley Plus, the course online. Once you receive the invitation email with a login, a password and a link, you can click and you’ll be place into the Virtual Class and see and hear your tutor.
3. What is the advantage of using this method?
There are three main advantages:
. • Lingua Meeting not only saves you time and money, it has the convenience to take the class wherever you are at that moment, whether at the comfort of your home, a coffee shop, anywhere with Internet connection.
. • We give you access to an outstanding self-study online course.
. • Another advantage if you are in a group class is that if you miss the class schedule that day, your tutor will send you the recorded session though email so you can play it and hear it on your computer.
4. What do I need for the class?
You will need a a headset and a webcam (recommended) to get started. These products are available at most computer stores. If you prefer to buy them online or to see pictures click on webcams or headset to visit the site.
5. What are the technology requirements? Macs works?
Lingua Meeting is using an application which is completely cross platforms. Whether you have a Windows PC, a Mac, Solaris o Linux workstation, you will get the same superior user experience every time. It will work with a low bandwidth too, the quality of the audio it will not be as clear as with DSL or Cable but you have the option of the teleconference (toll free number). Any platform, any bandwidth, anywhere.
6. Will I really learn to communicate in Spanish?
The course objective is to help students develop the ability to communicate in Spanish. Apart from working independently with interactive materials, each lesson is followed with a conversational class with the tutor. This way, the tutor, always a native speaker will correct your pronunciation and help you to express better in Spanish. As opposed to other Spanish courses where the teacher will lecture you about the functioning of the Spanish languages and its rules, we focus more on communication fluency than grammatical accuracy.
7. What happen if I missed my class or I need to cancel?
Failing to attend the pre-schedule session shall be considered a “No Show” unless you are contact us within twenty four hours (24 hrs.) before the schedule session.
. • For private lessons, sessions can be rescheduling other time.
. • For semi-private, if the student fails to attend a lesson, there is not the option to reschedule since it is a group class, but the student will have the option to view the recorded lesson that s/he missed and be prepared for the next class.
8. How do I pay?
We accept three types of payment : Paypal, Visa/Mastercard and personal checks.
